Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Novel geometric engineering of Gd55Al20Co25 microwire assemblies boosts magnetocaloric effect for magnetic refrigeration. • Multilayer laminated structures show larger MCEs (−ΔSM ≈ 9.8 J kg-1 K-1) than single microwires due to wire–wire interactions. • Interlayer magnetic couplings dominate MCE magnitude, with even-layer laminates outperforming odd-layer ones (−ΔSM ≈ 8.5 J kg-1 K-1). • First demonstration of geometry-driven structure–property relationship in soft ferromagnetic microwire arrays. • Scalable designs enable high-efficiency, next-generation cooling technologies.
