• Unlike iCCA, eCCA and GBC do not differ greatly between Eastern and Western hemispheres • Hepatitis positivity correlates with altered TP53, KRAS, ARID1A, and SMAD4 mutation prevalences in iCCA • Differences in small duct and large duct mutations may explain a considerable portion of iCCA/eCCA and East/West iCCA mutational divergence • The vast majority of TP53 (>90%) and BAP1 (>80%) missense mutations are likely loss of function
