For scientists, preparing and delivering a presentation is very important - for example, within a group or at a scientific congress or conference. The aim of a scientific presentation is to engage in discourse and professional exchange with the audience. This is particularly successful when the presentation is of high quality. A high-quality presentation reflects the principles of evidence-based medicine.The quality of a scientific presentation depends on both formal and content-related aspects. Good knowledge of the presentation software, the process, the venue, and the audience helps make presenting easier. Creating the presentation, preparing it carefully, and practicing it in advance provide confidence and improve the quality of the contribution.The CME training course Good Scientific Presentation addresses these important aspects. The article covers the basics and supports especially less experienced speakers in preparing a good scientific presentation and delivering it purposefully and confidently. It also includes practical tips and tricks. More experienced speakers may also benefit from the article and share it with less experienced colleagues.
