This scoping review summarized the literature related to the healthcare experiences of Muslim women in the USA. Arksey and O'Malley's (2005) scoping review methodology guided the data selection and screening. Ferrari's (2015) narrative review methodology was used to identify key concepts from the included studies. Four key concepts were identified: modesty, perceived discrimination, patient-provider relationship, and influence of Islam. Future research is needed to understand the barriers and facilitators of healthcare utilization and provide findings related to the relationship between Muslim patients and providers.
