• The digitisation of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) is a critical multidisciplinary challenge. • Novice designers are ill-equipped to navigate the complexity of ICH digitisation. • Effective support requires bridging simplified design processes with expert methodologies. • We present the development and evaluation of Heritage Spark, a card-based toolkit to scaffold novice design teams. • This approach offers a generalizable method for scaffolding design in other complex domains.
