• CNC-intercalated ZnAl-LDH synthesized via facile co-precipitation. • High tetracycline adsorption capacity of 93.95 mg.g. • Redlich-Peterson isotherm fits adsorption (R2 > 0.98). • 70% TC degradation via UV/H2O2 catalytic process in 60 min. • Life cycle assessment reveals key environmental hotspots.
