• Alkali coupled with hydrated deep eutectic solvent achieves efficient and mild separation of bamboo components via integrated combined treatment. • Cellulose pulp is characterized by high purity and high degree of polymerization. • The lignin obtained through distillation retains a rich β-O-4 structure.
