High performance pixelated array of quantum dots with scatterers for Micro-LED by electrohydrodynamic printing

Abstract

• For the first time, high-resolution QD color conversion patterns doped with scattering particles were successfully fabricated via electrohydrodynamic printing, achieving pixel sizes below 30 μm. • The optimized ink with 4 wt% TiO2 exhibited a blue-light absorption of 84.3% and a color conversion efficiency of 11.4%, representing a ∼40% enhancement compared with the pure QD ink, while maintaining excellent dispersion stability over three days. • A high-boiling-point UV-curable QD ink was developed, enabling stable incorporation of TiO2 nanoparticles without severe aggregation or nozzle clogging during electrohydrodynamic printing.
