• High-calcium geopolymer replacement enhanced the fire resistance of recycled blocks. • Optimized HGB100* retained 68% compressive strength after exposure to 1000 °C. • Thermal stability arose from gel reorganization and ceramization. • Replacing OPC with HGM reduced the global warming potential by up to 76%.
