• A novel PMo12@UiO-66-NH2@CNTs nanocomposite was successfully prepared and systematically characterized. • The sensor significantly enhances electron transfer efficiency by leveraging the synergistic effect among its three components. • The PMo12@UiO-66-NH2@CNTs/GCE showed excellent analytical performance for Qu detection, featuring a high sensitivity, a low detection limit, as well as good selectivity and stability. • The PMo12@UiO-66-NH2@CNTs/GCE achieved the satisfactory recovery rates for detecting Qu content in Flos Sophorae Immaturus samples.
