• Hispidulin promotes hair regrowth in an androgenetic alopecia mouse model. • Structure-based docking identifies Hispidulin as a novel TRPML1 agonist. • Hispidulin inhibits DHT-induced ferroptosis in dermal papilla cells. • TRPML1 activation restores cellular iron homeostasis to prevent hair loss. • Targeting the TRPML1-ferroptosis axis offers a new therapeutic strategy.
