In article number e70738, Daniel Vanmaekelbergh and co-workers investigated the formation of ultra-thin Bi2Se3 nanoplatelets via a hot-injection synthesis. The resulting independent control over lateral size and thickness, down to a single quintuple layer, enables future studies on colloidal topological insulators.
