Accurate yet computationally efficient modeling of ion-beam extraction remains challenging because one must capture plasma meniscus formation, space-charge-limited transport, and ion-neutral collisions in realistic three-dimensional geometries. The paper presents a hybrid particle-based algorithm that iteratively couples a non-linear Poisson equation solver with Boltzmann electrons to a test-particle Monte Carlo ion tracer including elastic ion-neutral collisions. The algorithm is implemented in the MatSight framework and uses custom OpenFOAM solvers, enabling fully 3D simulations of extraction systems. The model is validated against laboratory measurements of beam imprint diameter. Current measurements are used to find the only scalar fitting parameter of the model-ion flux from the plasma source. Above acceleration voltage of 200 V, the model shows good agreement with experimental measurements. The sensitivity of the model to various parameters is explored, showing the model is particularly sensitive to electron temperature/plasma potential. The model allows for rapid parametric studies in 3D geometries, with typical runs below 10 core hours, while further optimization of the model is still possible.
