Abstract

Abstract

CCUS-EOR is the key to achieve deep CO2 emission reduction and effective utilization, while there are still some issues in the process as CO2 corrosion, under deposit corrosion and microbial corrosion. Based on this, an integrated agent (POI) with ‘corrosion inhibition/scale inhibition/sterilization’ ternary properties were developed in this paper. The corrosion inhibition performance and mechanism of POI were evaluated by dynamic weight loss experiment, electrochemical test and surface analysis under the simulated working conditions of M-oilfield. The scale inhibition performance and sterilization performance of POI were verified by static scale inhibition method and extinction dilution method, respectively. POI is an anodic-type corrosion inhibitor, which can be spontaneously adsorbed on the active sites on the surface of N80 steel sheet through both physical and chemical action, forming a dense hydrophobic protective film to block the invasion of corrosive ions and achieve good corrosion inhibition effect. The dynamic weight loss test results show that the corrosion rate can be reduced to 0.06763 mm/a and the corrosion inhibition efficiency can reach 90.88% with 200 ppm POI. In addition, POI can effectively prevent the formation of CaCO3 and CaSO4, and also inhibit the growth of sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB).
