A subset of endothelial cells referred to as immunomodulatory endothelial cells (IMEC) has been proposed to regulate T cell responses in atherosclerosis and after myocardial infarction. Here, we studied the inflammation-induced emergence of IMEC and characterized their crosstalk with T cells.
