Abstract

It is considered that various disaster information services on smartphones have widely spread over the world, but that some significant subjects for the usages of the injured evacuators or information weakness still exist. Therefore, this paper introduces the life safety information system for smartphones with the detections of the abnormal body static conditions by the sensors on smartphones. In the proposed methods, the locational sensor on the smartphone firstly observes the movements of evacuators after the detection of the earthquake by the gyro sensors on the smartphone. Secondly, the observed values over the locational and time threshold are checked by the gyro sensors and the battery conditions for the detection of the abnormal static body conditions. At last, the calculated results are used for the autonomous emergent messages and the DTN (Delay Tolerant Networks) routing based on the Data Triage Method in the disaster information system. Then, the paper reports the implementation of the prototype system for the proposed methods, and the future works including the additional algorithm based on the Markov Chain Model are discussed.
