• FS-PCM incorporation enhanced thermal storage and heat transfer behaviour. • Thermal conductivity was influenced by diffusivity and specific heat capacity. • 10% GWP improved geopolymer matrix densification and strength retention. • SEM and FTIR confirmed enhanced aluminosilicate gel network formation. • Optimum 7.5% FS-PCM achieved balanced thermal and mechanical performance.
