Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• This work invented iodine-iodide redox loop in the anodic side of HI electrolysis to produce H2. • This invention introduces the Bunsen reaction to the anodic chamber to realize the 2I− ⇌ I2 loop. • CV/LSV confirms EC coupling mechanism and convection-dependent I2 film removal. • Sulfite-to-HI ratio governs reaction pathway, enabling process tunability. • This invention will potentially simplify the S-I cycle and H2S splitting cycle for H2 production.
