Abstract

• Structural & electrical properties of lower concentrations of La on KNN were studied. • La2O3 has a strong influence on the dielectric permittivity and phase transition temperatures of the KNN system. • The dielectric constant significantly increases from 500 to 2100 at room temperature. • Diminished grains are obtained for La-doped KNN ceramics. • P-E loops became slimmer upon doping, enhancing relaxor behavior in La-doped KNN ceramics.
