• 80 cyclic triaxial tests were carried out as long as data from literature. • Cyclic resistance of silts (FC = 100%) was systematically investigated. • Dr is negligible influential for non-plastic silts at high fines content. • PI is a dominant controlling factor when FC exceeds 50%. • OCR and loading frequency are influential in soils with high fines content.
