• An entropy-based CFD-TRNSYS coupling framework is proposed for subways. • Information entropy reduces 3D CFD to 2D models with <5% mass flow error. • Simulation time is reduced by over 99% compared to full 3D transient CFD. • Utilizing piston wind alone achieves a 9% reduction in HVAC energy use. • Coupling piston wind with PCM further enhances energy savings to 13.5%.
