Abstract
En 中文
• SOC rose in C-poor soils but declined in C-rich soils after 20 years of afforestation. • Afforestation affects SOC and its fractions more strongly in topsoil than in subsoil. • POC dominates topsoil SOC changes, while MAOC controls subsoil SOC changes. • POC relies on plant input and microbes, whereas MAOC depends on clay and silt. • In C-poor soils, coniferous forests sequester more C than broadleaved forests.
