This study aims to explore whether the elements of the standards according to the guidelines of ISO 9004:2018 can be linked with the perspectives of the strategic model Balanced Scorecard in HEIs in the new environment of Industry 5.0. The new era, known as Industry 5.0, is a novel concept based on enhanced collaboration between humans and digital technologies. This new paradigm brings numerous challenges to all organizations, particularly higher education institutions (HEIs), as HEIs are the cornerstone of the development of any society. The new challenges require new solutions through the adoption of innovative quality maturity models for the future environment of Industry 5.0. The sample for this study includes 374 fully completed and valid responses. For the purposes of the research, a survey was conducted among employees in HEIs in Eastern European countries. To test the new integrated maturity model, statistical techniques such as Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) were used. The results demonstrate the relevance of the integrated maturity model, which can serve as a guideline for the development of sustainable business in the management structures of HEIs for the future environment of Industry 5.0.
