• Triboelectric sensor with 8-electrode array provides broad-spectrum, ultrafast (0.5 s) detection of oil pollutants. • Deep learning enables ultrafast oil identification with 99.3% accuracy and 10 ppb sensitivity. • Oil suppresses liquid–solid charge transfer through weak oil–solid electron transfer and surface adsorption effects.
