Perioperative intravenous (IV) lidocaine can reduce postoperative pain, opioid use, bowel recovery time and the length of stay, but is rarely tested in liver surgery. This study evaluated the postoperative analgesic efficacy and safety of IV lidocaine in patients undergoing minor liver surgery.
