• Isometric force at 30% MVIC impaired vibrotactile sensitivity and spatial acuity. • Upper arm was more sensitive than thigh and lower back during isometric exertion. • Shoveling reduced spatial acuity compared to standing. • Upper arm showed higher spatial acuity vs. upper and lower back during dynamic work.
