• Developed an actual kinematic model of TTG for geometric error propagation analysis. • Workspace and posture-dependent error propagation was quantitatively characterized. • Geometric error sensitivity was identified using the global Sobol analysis method. • The proposed framework was experimentally validated for micro-groove fabrication. • TTG machining configuration provides an additional DOF for geometric error control.
