• Novel parallel computation framework for discrete dislocation dynamics is presented. • Custom data structures are designed to integrate with the fast multipole method. • Adaptive task partitioning to mitigate load imbalance. • Two-stage FMM heterogeneous parallel scheme to accelerate simulation. • Superior computational performance is achieved compared to ParaDiS.
