• Lattice-level halide homogenization, not physical blending, enables stable red emission in CsPb(Br/I)3. • CsPbBr1I2 is optimal for pure red emission at 640 nm. • Strengthened Pb–Br bonding and vacancy passivation suppress phase transition and ion migration. • CsPbBr1I2 exhibits 288 ns lifetime and >70% PL retention under heat, moisture, and light. • WLED achieves ultrawide color gamut: 127.07% NTSC, 94.88% Rec. 2020.
