A systematic search of PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, the Cochrane Library, reference lists and grey literature (clinicaltrials.gov) was completed on August 1, 2023, restricted to English-language publications, and identified 2868 studies published between 2013 and 2023. After the removal of duplicates, 2,386 records were screened independently by two reviewers at the title and abstract level. Of these, 103 full-text articles were assessed for eligibility, with disagreements resolved by discussion with senior investigators. Ultimately, 34 studies were included, where 24 studies were included in implant-level quantitative synthesis, and 19 studies were included in patient-level quantitative synthesis.
