• A component-wise event-triggered output feedback mechanism is adapted to continuous-time singular positive systems with time delays. • For a prescribed triggering threshold σ, an LP-based synthesis condition computes the static output-feedback gain while preserving the Metzler/non-negativity structure; the comparison margin ρ is certified a posteriori from the feasible LP certificate. This bypasses the non-convex bilinear matrix inequalities typical of static output feedback design. • The closed-loop system is proven to be regular, impulse-free, positive, and stable. • Under the structural conditions and σ ≥ 1, Zeno behaviour is excluded by deriving a strictly positive minimum inter-event time. • In the numerical examples, the proposed method substantially reduces the number of control updates relative to a continuous-time implementation.
