• Agroecological performance in Tunisian farming systems remains generally low, with marked regional differences. • Farm-level practices (TAPE), landscape structure (MAS), and WEFE Nexus indicators provide complementary perspectives. • Positive associations were observed between agroecological indicators and WEFE Nexus performance. • The study provides a multi-scale framework for assessing agroecological performance in semi-arid farming systems.
