Abstract
En 中文
• Loading-rate-dependent transition from deterministic to stochastic branching. • Non-monotonic V-shaped dependence of the mist-to-branching interval on loading rate. • Micro-branching shields the crack tip and delays macroscopic bifurcation. • Stress field bifurcation is necessary but not sufficient for crack rupture.
