Abstract
En 中文
• Investigating the importation of freshwater turtles and tortoises to the US. • Between 2000 and 2022, over 2.5 million individuals, across 172 species, were imported. • Chinese softshell turtles and Horsfield's tortoises represent 62.9% of all imports. • Many imported species are highly imperiled, or not evaluated by the IUCN Red List. • Import volumes raise global conservation and biosecurity concerns.
