• Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is widely used for generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG). • This study included 1041 gMG patients with mean MG-ADL score, 9.45. • The median time to retreatment was 386 days in all patients. • The MG-ADL responder rate (≥2-point improvement) of IVIg was 65.7% on day 14. • The cost per MG-ADL improvement for IVIg was lower than that for molecular targeted drugs.
