Long-term oxidation of Fe-13Cr-4.5Al oxide dispersion-strengthened alloy in dry and moist air at 1100 ℃: Evolution of oxide scale microstructure and growth mechanisms

Abstract
En 中文
• Water vapor enhances Al³⁺ and O²⁻ diffusion, promoting oxide densification and reducing long-term oxidation rates in FeCrAl-ODS. • Moist air produces dense α-Al₂O₃ scales with low porosity, dry air creates highly porous oxide scales. • Moist conditions yield uniform polyhedral α-Al₂O₃, dry conditions produce competing whisker/lamellar morphologies.
