• Self-doped Ni/SiC CNFs were fabricated based on LC circuit design principles. • The impedance matching characteristic was investigated by adjusting the magnetic-dielectric ratio. • The parallel equivalent circuit of 3D network nanofibers can enhance conduction losses. • Ni/SiC CNFs-2 exhibited superior RLmin of -42.37 dB and a broad EAB of 14.70 GHz.
