Abstract
En 中文
Massage therapy is considered a form of medical treatment in several countries where it is covered by national health insurance, including China, Japan, Russia, and West Germany. In the United States, massage therapy still is considered an alternative therapy. Nonetheless, its popularity seems to be growing. National and international massage therapy associations increased their membership by thousands of therapists during the 1990s.
