• Disassembly Process Mapping: A flowchart-based methodology developed to map component hierarchies and joining technologies, enabling simulated and automation-driven disassembly. • Automation Feasibility: The study demonstrates that automated disassembly, when supported by custom tooling, can drastically reduce disassembly time from hours to minutes while preserving component integrity. • Circular Economy Alignment: The proposed strategy enhances critical material recovery and minimises contamination, directly supporting circular economy goals and improving secondary material quality. • Scalability and applicability: The mapping technique demonstrates broader applicability to complex systems such as traction battery modules and other value-embedded products, offering significant potential for sustainable manufacturing and resource conservation.
