Software productivity matters but is not much understood. To boost productivity many silver bullets have been suggested over time and even more technology hypes. Yet, most companies do not even know how to measure productivity. We will show here how software productivity can be measured and improved. No silver bullets, but hands-on practical insights. An industry survey with software developers from five continents shows major productivity drivers.
