Abstract
En 中文
This article presents a method to derive the antenna element positions and S-parameters of linear antenna arrays of identical elements from measurements of the embedded element patterns (EEPs). The problem is formulated as an exponential data modeling problem, and validated exponential analysis (VEXPA) is used to extract the element positions and the S-parameters. Results in the calculation of the element positions indicate combined absolute-relative errors (i.e., absolute error divided by 1+ the exact element position) of less than 0.1% for a synthetic example of an 11-element array, and less than 0.2% for a four-element experimental example. The combined absolute-relative error in the calculation of the coefficients from which the S-parameters are derived is <0.002 for the synthetic example. There is excellent agreement between S-parameters directly measured with a VNA and S-parameters determined using the proposed method.
