• Façade-specific mechanistic corrections enable vertical BIPV soiling prediction. • CFD (SST + DPM/DRW + UDF) reveals discretely triggered deposition growth. • Deposition jumps occur in 7.83% of steps; 10/50/90% times: 197.8/861.1/1499.7 s. • Indoor calibration links the real dust density to irradiance-dependent power loss. • Field test shows 9.16% error (0.273 g measured vs 0.248 g predicted over 72 h).
