• Ferroptosis pathway highly linked to fluoride exposure and male infertility. • Fluoride triggers ferroptosis both in the testicular tissue of SD rats and GC-1 cells. • The Nrf2/FSP1 pathway plays an important role in fluoride-induced male reproductive damage. • Fer-1 & TBHQ intervention partially reverses fluoride's effects, reducing ferroptosis and reproductive harm.
