Abstract
En 中文
Research into the causes of obesity has highlighted the major role played by the leptin-melanocortin pathway. Alongside orlistat, a gastrointestinal lipase inhibitor, two new classes of drugs have emerged: agonists of the glucagon-like peptide-1 or glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptors, and melanocortin-4 receptor agonists. Regardless of the medication used, dietary measures combined with therapeutic and nutritional education remain essential for long-term control of weight gain.
