Abstract

Metalenses have emerged as a versatile platform for sculpting light at subwavelength scales, particularly in the manipulation of chromatic dispersion. By utilizing arrays of nanoantennas to impart tailored phase profiles across multiple wavelengths, these devices enable functionalities such as achromatic and superchromatic focusing. Here, we extend this paradigm to achieve a more generalized form with a tailorable twisted chromatic dispersion. This design facilitates dispersive focusing with a distinctive conical helical trajectory along the optical axis. We present results demonstrating multi-wavelength focal slices across the visible spectrum, confirming the targeted spiral distribution of focal patterns. The proposed platform is anticipated to advance applications in integrated photonic systems, such as hyperspectral imaging and computational depth sensing.
