To describe microbiological findings during asymptomatic and symptomatic phases in older women with recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTIs), to evaluate whether antimicrobial resistance patterns of Escherichia coli among methenamine hippurate users differ from untreated controls, and to explore prescription patterns of UTI antibiotics.
