This brief provides a brief tutorial on the recent advancements and developments invaractor-less frequency tuning techniques for millimeter-wave (mm-Wave) oscillators. Various approaches,includingphase tuning and magnetic tuning methods, are comprehensively analyzed and discussed. Varactor-less frequency tuning principles and design considerations are given. The aim is to offer essential insights and guidelines for the design of wideband,low-phase-noise mm-Wave varactor-less oscillators.
