Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• A previously unreported indigenous cobalt-bearing material was discovered near the YinGou Site. • The cobalt material occurs in deep halloysite-rich clay at the base of Carboniferous–Permian strata. • It is characterized by a gibbsite-dominated phase and a distinctive Co–Mn–Fe–Ni assemblage. • Its elemental signature closely matches that of blue-decorated ceramic fragments from the YinGou Site. • The discovery offers new insight into the development of Chinese blue-and-white ceramics from the Tang to Yuan dynasties.
