Abstract

MLCs form a dynamic interface between mitochondria and lysosomes. Rab7 cycling, Ca2+ flux, lipids, and pH tune MLCs structure and output. MLCs coordinate mitochondrial quality control and metabolic homeostasis. Aging remodels MLCs coupling and amplifies organelle decline and stress. MLCs provide mechanistic and therapeutic entry points in age-related disease.
