Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• PdSn alloy with Pdδ+–Snδ- pairs modulates the mesomeric effect for C=O hydrogenation. • PdSn achieves 82.9% vanillin conversion and >80% selectivity to vanillyl alcohol. • The PdSn catalyst exhibits 22.8 times higher H* coverage than pure Pd. • DFT reveals lower energy barriers for C=O activation and hydrogenation on PdSn. • PdSn shows excellent durability with negligible Pd leaching over 60 h of reaction.
